Encore Rehab at the 2018 AWCO Spring Conference

Encore Rehabilitation was proud to support the 2018 Spring Conference of the Alabama Workers’ Compensation Organization in Birmingham, Alabama on May 10-11, 2018.
The attendees at the Spring Conference enjoyed a “Be a Hero” Theme. The Encore Rehabilitation booth was in good hands with Superman (Regional Director Elisabeth Bernier, LPTA); The Flash (Recruiting Director John Henderson) and Captain America (Marketing Representative Sharon Smelser) managing the booth.
In addition to hosting a booth, Encore Rehabilitation was also represented by Clinical Director Enoch Jones, DPT, who was a speaker at the event with the topic “Work Hardening and Early Intervention”.

Congratulations to Austin Harvell, Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Athens!
Austin is a Sophomore at Clements High School where he competes in Basketball (#23) for the Colts. He has been named All-County and Offensive MVP. His basketball career has resulted in five college offers to date: Kansas State, University of Alabama, University of North Alabama, Auburn University, and Samford University.
Austin is the son of Alexis Harvell.
Way to go, Austin! We wish you continued success in your academic and athletic pursuits!

2018 AHSAA North-South Boys and Girls Soccer All-Star Teams Announced
The North-South Boys and Girls Soccer Doubleheader will be at Emory Folmar Soccer Complex, Montgomery, on Tuesday, July 17, with the girls playing at 5 p.m., followed by the boys at 7 pm.
Coaches for the South Girls Soccer All-Stars are Cheryl Flores of McGill-Toolen Catholic, who coached the Lady Jackets to the school’s first Class 7A state championship last season, and Sophie Simantel of Auburn. Ken Wright of the Montgomery Public Schools is administrative coach.
Coaches for the North Girls Soccer All-Stars are Helena’s Cliff Naron and Russellville’s Trey Sanford. George Cavender (retired-SR Butler) will be the administrative assistant.
Coaching the North Boys Soccer All-Stars are Matthew Pharr of Cherokee County and Jake Siefert of Sparkman. Ken Wright of the Montgomery Public Schools is administrative coach.
Coaching the South Boys Soccer All-Stars are Bruce Ladner of Enterprise and Nick Berryman of Alabama Christian. George Cavender (retired- SR Butler) will be the administrative assistant.
The North swept both matches in 2017 with the girls winning 4-1 and the boys 5-2. The North girls hold a 13-2-1 edge in the series and the North Boys have a 10-4-1 advantage.
