In celebration of National Athletic Training Month, we’d like to introduce your Encore Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer Scarlett Hackett!

Scarlett says, “I became an Athletic Trainer because I knew I wanted to work with athletes ever since I was the water-girl for my high school football team. I also always knew I wanted to be a high school Athletic Trainer. The best thing about being an Athletic Trainer? I like helping athletes process injuries, taping, and ALWAYS having the best seat on the sidelines!”

Scarlett is a graduate of The University of Alabama and is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer. Her husband, Ray, is a coach at Geneva County High School. Together they have four children.

Encore Rehabilitation is pleased to announce John Thomas, LPTA, ATC, is the new Clinic Director for Encore Rehabilitation at Andalusia Health Physical Therapy!

John is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant as well as a Certified Athletic Trainer. He has over 25 years experience as a clinician. John and his wife, Lisa have two children. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, working out, building equipment, being active in his church, and Auburn sports.

A native of Andalusia, John is glad to be serving in his community. Come by Andalusia Health Physical Therapy and say hello to John!

Meet Chad Abrams – Regional Athletic Trainer Manager for Encore Rehabilitation-Opelika

Regional Athletic Trainer Manager Chad Abrams, ATC. #EncoreRehab

Encore Rehabilitation-Opelika is pleased to introduce Chad Abrams, Regional Athletic Trainer Manager for Encore Rehabilitation. 

Chad is a Certified Athletic Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist, with over 35 years experience. A native of Notasulga, Alabama, he received both his Bachelor of Science and his Masters of Health Promotion from Auburn University. He has served as the Athletic Trainer for Reeltown High School for 36 years. Currently he manages the Sports Medicine Coverage for Glenwood, Beauregard, Smiths Stations, and Reeltown High Schools.

In his free time, Chad enjoys the art of fabrication and the creative process. He is also a board member of the Reeltown Volunteer Fire Dept. He plans to participate in NASCAR’s driving experience program one day.

Leigh Ann is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at Encore Rehabilitation-Columbia. She received her Athletic Training degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Pearl River Community College. In her spare time, Leigh Ann enjoys running, working out, and shopping. She also enjoys supporting Oak Grove High School where he husband, Larry, coaches baseball and serves as Principal. The couple has one daughter plus a rabbit and several dogs.

Encore Rehabilitation-Eufaula would like to introduce you to Athletic Trainer Jessica McManus!

 

Jessica provides Encore Sports Medicine coverage for the Eufaula High School Tigers. Originally from Roanoke, Alabama, she is a graduate of Handley High School. She continued her education at Troy University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a Masters of Education from North Greenville University. While at North Greenville, she served as a graduate assistant Athletic Trainer for the Athletic Department covering a variety of sports including football and men’s lacrosse.

 

In her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time on the lake, watching sporting events, and being involved with her church.
